DEMYSTIFYING RSS
What is RSS?
RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a personal way of receiving regularly changing web content. Think of it as your newspaper boy (or girl). Instead of using a bicycle, RSS delivers changing content and braking news right to your compute via internet feeds. It’s not email. You needn’t log into your email account.
Why RSS? Benefits and Reasons for using RSS
RSS solves a problem for people who regularly use the web and just want to stay informed about the sites they enjoy. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the sites you are interested in. YOU need’t surf the web or read through a crowded email box. We deliever the content straight to your front door (of your computer). You save time and energy. You ensure your privacy. No submiting your email address and then wondering if your personal information will be compromised. No worry over spam or junk mail.
How can I stay on top of the latest news and information?
Easy, just click on the RSS feed located in your favorite browser. (Where you type in the website address). It might be in the web address bar or located just below it. If you don’t see it in either of these locations look for the RSS icon on your favorite web-sites. The RSS feed icon looks like a rainbow with 3 lines radiating from the bottom left corner or the letters RSS, usually in orange or blue. Once you click on the RSS feed, you will be taken to a separate section that will ask you to subscribe to the RSS feed. Click on the Subscribe Now button. You will then be prompted to add it to a folder or toolbar, I recommend the tool bar. Once you subscribe, you will see the feed in your toolbar or in your bookmarks drop down menu.
SO WHAT NOW?
The next time you open your browser you will no longer need to go to your favorie site to see if new content was added. No extra surfing, not wet newspaper on your door step with the ink running all over your hands. The information is waiting there for you.
The WONDER, EXPLORE, BELIEVE Promise.
We will work our hardest to provide you with the latest information on Adventure, Exploration, Human motivation and potential, gear, how-to advice and suggestions on how you may rekindle the explore within you. We will do our best to provide daily content in text, audio, still photography and video for your entertainment and education. We will respect your decision to remove yourself from the RSS feed should our content no longer interest you.
THANK YOU!
ON behalf of the Wonder, Explore, Believe team I want to personally thank you for subscribing to our feed. We know that there a myriad of websites and sources for information and entertainment and it is an honor to send you our updates.
